Hiisi vieköön!

Viikko takaperin sain sähköpostia Mark Youngilta. Viestin liitteenä oli pdf-muotoinen kopio Markin uudesta, pitkään kehitteillä ollesta kokoelmasta nimeltä Betabet. Kuten alla olevasta Kalevala-aiheisesta runostakin käy ilmi, teoksessa käsitellään myyttejä. Käsittelytapa on ilmeisen anakronistinen. En silti sanoisi, että kyse on ehdoin tahdoin tehdystä uudesta tulkinnasta. Sen sijaan voisi puhua uutta luovasta luennasta tai kirjoituksesta.

patterns swarm. Some-
times Surma seizes the
imprudent man & swallows
him. More dust forms &
appears as meteor showers
as it passes through the
prevalent atmosphere that
marks the home of Hiisi.
