Congrats, Marko!

The winners in The Holiday Hay(na)ku Contest have been decided. There were ten winners altogether, among them the Magic Man, Marko Niemi. Not to take anything away from the other contestants, but from a national, and artistic, standpoint, this is a truly remarkable achievement. Take a look.

From a "national" standpoint? I love it!

But as far as I'm concerned, Finland is taking over the contemporary poetry world.

Much obliged, Eileen. If not for you, for example, this wouldn't be even real. What I meant by a "national" standpoint, is that inside this nation, ours, Marko and his work is virtually non-existent to the general public. The same applies to Jukka, of course, any many others. That is why, your recognition of our stuff is heartily welcome. We owe you (all). Thanks.

Tajusin että haynaku on itse asiassa yhdistelmä kahdesta Oulipo-tekniikasta, lumipallosta ja haikuisaatiosta. :)

Hyvä! Täytyypä tutustua. Markon jutut ovat tietysti ihan oma lukunsa. Ällistyttävää.
