While Kerouac was a famous nocturnal socializer, knocking around the jazzy New York streets with the likes of Allen Ginsberg and William Burroughs (and even, believe it or not, attending the Ballet Russe with a group that included Gore Vidal) it often appears that he had no one to talk to except for the voices between his own two ears. »
